$ 30 pays for a CPR / O₂ casualty face mask
$ 100 pays for a helmet to protect crew during rescues in rough seas and high speeds
$ 100 pays for a handheld spotlight for night searches for missing persons
$ 125 pays for a PFD vest for persons taken on board
$ 150 pays for the fuel for the Howe Sound Lifeboat for a rescue mission off Gambier
$ 250 pays for a crew member’s inflatable utility vest to give quick access to equipment and extra flotation
$ 500 pays for a portable VHF radio to communicate with a crew member assisting with your boat
$ 500 pays for a crewmember’s all-weather floation suit necessary on BC’s freezing waters
$ 500 pays for the electronic chart card for GPS / radar plotter for night & bad weather searches
$ 1,200 pays for a basket stretcher & flotation collar necessary to rescue & transport casualties
$ 2,500 pays for a oxygen heat treat unit for hypothermic casualties to resuscitate hypothermic casualties

Instead of donating money you can also donate your old car to help support the society. Simply by donating a car to the A-Part Auto Wrecking 4 Charity Program, you will have helped us fund our lifeboat volunteers. The Process

1. You call our Hotline at 604-321-2277 (CARS) and give your information to the operator. They will ask you some questions to establish that you meet the minimal criteria for donation.

2. Our tow truck driver, Wayne, will arrange with you a mutually agreeable time for pick-up or you can drop the car off at A-Part.

3. Upon Wayne's arrival, he will accept your vehicle with its' registration, issue a receipt of pick-up, and have you sign a vehicle transfer of ownership form.

4. A-Part receives and processess your vehicle, transfers ownership and forward the proceeds to the chairty of your choice.

5. The Chairty of your choice receives the proceeds from your donation and issues you a tax receipt

Look no further! North Shore Lifeboat Society can look at taking that old boat you are no longer using and issue you a tax receipt for the fair market value! In return, you'll be helping us support our lifeboat volunteers in Saving lives at Sea!
