Management

The all-volunteer Society is comprised of women and men with vastly varied backgrounds and age, who reside mostly on the North Shore and mostly also crew on the lifeboats.

Over the years, as the NSLS has been directly supporting the CCGA, the CCGA has in turn has had a large number of it’s members contribute to the NSLS in the capacity of Executives and Directors.
A Board of volunteer Directors manages the Society, all with substantial experience and professional qualifications. Key areas are:

  • Society Management, policy & direction
  • Non-profit accounting & financial controls
  • Lifeboat maintenance & project program management
  • Government, Corporate, NGOs & public
  • Public, media & SAR coordination

The North Shore Lifeboat Society is always looking for new people, with new ideas and a strong desire to contribute their time and experience to provide first rate SAR resources for use in surrounding waters.
